In the Headlines is a site dedicated to using technically advanced news agents to search for the latest news stories from several credible and well respected publications. The articles posted will cover a variety of topics related to the Americans with Disabilities Act.
We update our news stories multiple times daily and post the 5 most recently published stories on a per state basis. Please keep in the mind that the site is as up to date as new stories are published. The most current news story may be several days old depending on how often new stories are posted for that period of time in a state. Duplicate news stories may appear due to multiple news publishers running the same story or from posting it in different sections of the publication.
The system autmatically searches for various ADA-related terms appearing in news sources within Region 5 (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin). You may change this default behavior from the Headlines Preferences page.
Occasionally an article having nothing to do with the pre-defined news category may appear. This can occur when filtered key words appear in an unrelated newswire service bulletin. Also, unusual characters (, , , etc.) may appear in a word. This is caused by a change in character sets between the newswire services and news publisher services.
