History of ADA-Indiana

ADA-Indiana was instituted in 1991, when the U.S. Department of Education, National Institute of Disability and Rehabilitation Research funded ten regional centers, the Disability and Business Technical Assistance Centers (the “DBTACs”), to provide technical assistance to businesses and governmental agencies around the implementation of the ADA.

Indiana became part of the six-state Great Lakes Disability and Business Technical Assistance Center (now known as the “Great Lakes ADA Center”) coordinated by the University of Illinois at Chicago.
